Dr. Ravi Kumar Tiwari got his PhD from NUS (Chemical Engineering) in 2013. After graduation, he worked 3 years as a research scientist in the Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC). He is currently a big data R data analyst in Rakuten. His core skills are R, big data, Hadoop and machine learning.

Dwight Nuwan Fonseka have a degree in Biotechnology (from NUS) ,Advanced diploma in Pharamceutical management (from MDIS) and Masters in Education (from NTU). He have 8 years experience of teaching biology at O and A levels/ IB level in international schools in Singapore and overseas.

Tu Anqi is a scholar and dean's lister with double degree in Business and Computer Science at NTU. Her areas of expertise lies in Python, R Programming, MySQL, Keras, Numpy, Pandas and Matplotlib. Marcus Lee has his degree in Computer Science and a background in Statistics from the University of Otago. Before returning to Singapore, he analysed vacation data provided by the New Zealand Board of Tourism to determine the favourite activities of Australian, Japanese, and German tourists in New Zealand. In addition to a vast number of other demographics statistics, he has been able to provide significant advice to the board on how to promote tourism in New Zealand. His core specialization skills are Java, R, Statistical Analysis, Machine Learning, NumPy, Scikit, and Network Management. He has also a fair amount of experience in C, C++, and Python.

Steve Ye is a dean's lister pursuing double degree in Business and Computer Science at NTU. He is also the current Tech Vice President of the NTU Open Source Society. He has done several projects for companies ranging from startups, large corporations, to government organisations. He taught himself to code python when he was 18, and he still codes python today. Within python, he has experience in Django (web stuff), scipy/pandas (the standard data libraries), and a little of OpenCV (computer vision). Outside of python, he has done projects with R, Java, C/C++, and SQL. In his free time he participates in hackathons and works on his own startups.

Herman Tan is a certified Business Intelligence Professional by TDWI (The Data Warehouse Institute). He has developed analytics solution for businesses for the last 15 years. He is proficient in SQL, data management using Pentaho and Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and predictive analytics using open source tools mainly in R. Herman has conducted hands-on courses in R and Pentaho for Banking and Retail as well as instructor for NUS Masters of Science in Business Analytics program.

Lisa Lee has her degree in Finance at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Prior to returning to Singapore, she worked as a financial analyst in a US-start up that sells business intelligence to dental offices. She was on the winning team for the Chicago Quantitative Alliance (CQA) Investment Challenge in 2015.Her core specialisation skills are R, Python, Machine Learning, Statistical Analysis, and Data Visualisation in Tableau and Qliksense. She currently works as a Data Science Instructor at a local university.

Dr. Wesley Goi is currently in his final year of his PhD in Bioinformatics at National University of Singapore (NUS) where he previously received his degree in Molecular Biology at NUS (Honours 2nd Uppers). He was the TA for Introductory Bioinformatics LSM2241. He specialises in analysing high throughput DNA and RNA sequencing data of complex microbial communities using network analyses and various functional analyses. In his previous projects he has applied machine learning methods to vaccine discovery.

Joel Foo graduated with a major in statistics and minor in computer science from NUS. He is well-versed in R and Python libraries/packages and has applied knowledge of statistics in data mining, time series analysis and deep learning. As the Business Intelligence Lead in an Israeli startup, Joel has experience in using BI tools such as Tableau to perform drill downs and harness insights from data. Currently, he is the co-founder and CEO of Geboto, a chatbot centric CRM platform for hospitality and F&B.

Raaj has 14 years of experience in Designing , delivering and supporting, products, projects and programs in the area of enterprise SAP and Data Science . He is certified in SAP ABAP,HANA and ACTA certified as well .

He has also trained many consultants and developers on Data Science, R programming, Python, SAP HANA, BI and related products and worked extensively in Asia ( Singapore, Bhutan, Vietnam, India, Myanmar ). His core specialization skills are R programming, Python, Azure Machine Learning, SAP HANA.

Dr. Zhu Tianming did her PhD in NUS, major in Statistics, and will graduate in August 2017. She has been a part-time teaching assistant for more than three years in NUS. She has taught the modules related to probability, regression analysis, categorical data analysis and multivariate statistical analysis. Her research interests are functional data classification and her core skills are R, machine learning and statistical analysis.

Dr. Alfred Ang was Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) and Senior Member of IEEE. He has published more than 20 peer reviewed papers and co-inventors for more than 20 inventions.

Kannan Gopal has a Masters in Computer Applications with over 20 years of experience in creating, delivering and supporting, products, projects and program in the area of enterprise data ops and analytics. Lately he has been involved in the creation of the digital banking app and working on IoT to create smart organizations. His expertise is in using data tools for analysis and visualization to solve challenges in organizations that rely on data for strategic and tactical decisions. He has experience in Design Thinking (HCD- human centered design) techniques and in leading organizations in the quest of digital transformation with data as its core for decisions and information.

Through his career, he has also developed teams and trained / coached many consultants and developers on SAP BI and related products and worked extensively in Europe and Asia. Through his career, he has developed solutions in the area of data modeling, data analysis and analytics – application of tools and process for solving customer issues. While at SAP, his team has won numerous patents for developing and applying data mining methods to enterprise management systems.

His keen interest lies in sharing and collaborating with people on new technologies and to create best practices in the area of analytics.

Ariff is a recent Graduate from Murdoch University in BSc in Business Information System and Management (Double Major). He is a MOE Registered Instructor teaching in most of the Information Technology and Multimedia aspects such as Web programmer, Mobile App Developer, Video director and editor, and game development and design (PC and Mobile). Besides Information Technology and Multimedia, he is also giving entrepreneurship, leadership workshops and motivation speech training.

He has a strong passion in IT and gaming design been since 2005. He is currently doing games design for his own project and continues to teach and share his knowledge. He still hungers for new skills to keep himself up to date as technology continues to change.

Siva Kumar is an experienced Solutions Architect with a demonstrated history of working in the computer software industry. Skilled in J2EE Web Services, Oracle Database, Maven, C++, and Apache Kafka. He is a strong engineering professional with a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) focused in Computer Science from JNTU University Hyderabad.

Ka Kui graduated from NTU with BSc Physics, first class honours, and received the Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal as the top performer in his cohort. After graduation, he served as a physics teacher at a local junior college for 4 years, before moving on to further his studies at SUTD, pursuing MSc in Urban Science, Policy and Planning. His main goals are to use data analytics and visualization tools to understand the dynamics of urban environments to improve cities and better our lives. He will work with various agencies such as HDB, LTA and URA to help with the data crunching and analysis needed to decode the complex relationships between people and cities. His expertise is mainly with R, being an open-source platform that has various functions, as well as Javascript which creates interactive environments for end-users.
